Billerica Yankee Doodle Summer Marketplace Fundraiser

Summer has begun and everyone is thinking beach, vacations, and just having fun.  Billerica’s annual Homecoming is just 2 months away and the committee is in the heat of fundraising to support the 22nd Yankee Doodle Homecoming, an event that brings together all ages from around the community for the largest single event held in Billerica.

An annual ongoing sub theme of the event is “Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.”  Appropriately the committee hosts a Summer Marketplace fundraiser with many tables of gently used items just waiting to be “recycled” and “reused” at a great price.

This year’s Marketplace is being held on Saturday, August 25th, from 8am to 2pm (with a raindate of Sunday, August 26th) on the lawn of the Senior Center.

Table spaces (10×10 – pop up tent size) are $20 each.  We also welcome home based businesses eg Avon, jewelry, Tastefully Simple, Usborne, and similar businesses at the same $20 fee.  Businesses, such as consignment shops and others, are also welcome to participate for a fee of $35.  Vendors provide their own tables and chairs.  Application deadline is Friday, August 17th.  Late applicants (mail dated after August 17th) will be charged a $5 late fee.  Vendors will be emailed confirmations as their registrations are received.

There will be light refreshments (donuts/muffins/danish) in the morning and hot dogs/soda for lunch available for purchase for a small fee for vendors and shoppers alike.
